2014 Farm Bill

The world of farmers and eaters – in Madison and around the country – may begin to see some changes over the next five years. Having recently passed the hurdles of the Senate and House, with the White House promising to sign it into law, the 2014 Farm Bill could mean drastic decreases in various food and nutrition programs, as well as changes to food distribution. In Our Backyard reporter Rebekah Wilce discusses these implications with Mayor Paul Soglin, Assistant Director of Food and Water Watch Patty Lavera, and Executive Director of the National Family Farm Coalition Katherine Ozer.
