8 O’Clock Buzz host Jonathan Zarov interviews Erika Monroe-Kane, Director of Communications at Madison Museum of Contemporary Art regarding the 58th Annual Art Fair on the Square.
With the Capitol Square under construction, there is concern that people may shy away. However – the City of Madison understands the immense value of this event so the affected areas of the Square will receive temporary paving and will be ready for the Art Fair on the Square crowds.
This event is the largest fundraiser for the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. Nearly half a million people, connected with art through the museum including nearly 13,000 children through the museum’s school tours program, Art Cart, Learning Centers, Kids’ Art Adventures, and Art Zone.
This year, MMoCA began an innovative new partnership effort using art to help individuals struggling with memory issues. Art Fair on the Square helps make all this happen!
