On November 25, the United States and Iran announced a historic deal to curtail Iran’s nuclear enrichment program. Iran gains access to some seven billion dollars in previously frozen international assets in exchange for its agreement to suspend efforts to enrich uranium and to allow inspectors into the country. Andrew Kydd is an associate professor of political science at the University of Wisconsin. His research includes armed conflict, conflict resolution, foreign policy, political violence, and weapons of mass destruction. He’s authored the award-winning book “Trust and Mistrust in International Relations.” He joined Monday Buzz host Brian Standing on Monday, December 2, 2013.
