Melinda Van Slyke, from Spring Green, Wisconsin, has been involved with human rights work in Guatemala since 1997. She is the owner of Heart of the Sky Fair Trade and is the president of the board of directors of the Network in Solidarity With The People Of Guatemala. NISGUA has been advocating for and providing human rights accompaniment to the Association For Justice And Reconciliation and the Center For Human Rights Legal Action, the plaintiffs and their legal representation for the genocide case, respectively.
