Happy Monday all, And a happy Monday it is here at WORT as I can happily report that we raised a grand total of $74,544.40 in pledges, surpassing the goal of $70,000 by almost $5K! On December 1st, 1975 WORT went on the air for the first time. On FRIDAY NOVEMBER 30TH we’ll be celebrating 37 years of outstanding community radio with our BIRTHDAY BOOST one day pledge drive! Why are we doing it? To address a projected fiscal year 2013 budget shortfall. A successful Birthday Boost coupled with the surprising comeback success of our fall pledge drive WILL cut into that projected deficit! WORT’s fall pledge drive ended on Saturday night 10/20 and unfortunately ended up about $5,000 short of the goal of $100,000.
