You begin the year with the way the last one ended. This has been a difficult and at times tragic year for many. Throughout history–Harriet Tubman, Fanny Lou Hammer, Ida B. Wells, we have seen and still see for one reason or another, Black women at the forefront of the fight for human rights for the Black community.
Today’s guests include Lisa Peyton Caire, Founder of Black Women’s Wellness and the Black Women’s Wellness Day Conference, with her 11 year-old daughter, Alana; Lilada’s daughter, Alexandra Gee-Lewis, who is a Special Education Assistant with the Verona Area School District; Sabrina “Miss Progress” Madison, who has had an amazing year herself with two successful Black Business Expos and a Black women’s leadership conference; and 10-year old Elisa Fleming, author of “Everybody Gets It Except Willow or So She Thinks,” which she co-authored with her mother Desiree Fleming.
