MADISON (WORT) — A candlelight vigil was held Sunday evening for Tony Robinson, the unarmed 19 year-old was fatally shot by a Madison police officer on Friday. Madison Police officer Matt Kenny reportedly shot Robinson in the chest following a confrontation at an apartment on Williamson Street. In accordance with a new state law that requires an outside agency to determine whether lethal force was justified, the Wisconsin Justice Department’s Division of Criminal Investigation has taken over the investigation.
