Thank you for your interest in serving as a member of the Community Advisory Board (CAB) for community radio station WORT 89.9 FM. The CAB is comprised of community members interested in the diverse needs’ and interests of WORT’s listening audience. The CAB advises WORT’s Board of Directors as to how the station’s programming and policies address community needs.
The CAB meets 6-8 times per year and also helps with special events such as pledge drives, outreach and fund raisers. If you are not already a regular WORT volunteer, joining the CAB is a great way to get involved! Women, minorities and people of all ages are encouraged to apply. WORT is an equal opportunity, affirmative action organization.
As part of the application process, the Community Advisory Board would like to meet you during a CAB meeting if possible. For the date of the next meeting, call Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator Glenn Mitroff at 608-256-2001. (Please note: Your attendance at the meeting will not affect the selection process; it is intended as an opportunity for you to meet the CAB members, observe and ask questions.) After reviewing your application the CAB will notify you regarding their decision. Final approval for membership in the CAB rests with WORT’s Board of Directors.
Thanks again for your interest in WORT’s Community Advisory Board. If you have further questions, please call me at 608-256-2001.
