Grace Presents: Gerri DiMaggio and Friends

Gerri DiMaggio’s take on jazz is as original as it is enticing. Her 2005 release “Comes Love” is a sultry mix of Brazilian along with a fresh blend of jazz standards. Gerri’s 2001 release “In Summer” received glowing reviews nationally. Local jazz legend Richard Davis writes “Gerri DiMaggio rates with the best of them… She caresses each syllable as if it is a song within itself.” Gerri and her band have performed widely in Madison and across the United States, including at the International Telluride Jazz Festival in 2005. A native of Madison, Gerri studied with Richard Davis at the UW-Madison School of Music, and is a major presence in the Madison music scene.
