World Sight Day Gala

Combat Blindness International’s World Sight Day Gala is an annual day of awareness to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment. This year’s event is at the newly renovated Edgewater Hotel in Madison and we are thrilled that Lon Michels (www.lonmichelsart.com) will be our keynote speaker. Lon will tell his story of losing his sight in the span of just 15 minutes, navigating life and painting while blind, and then finally having his vision restored.

Guests will enjoy international foods, art by Lon Michels, music by Kikeh Mato, and silent auction items from our project countries.

Post-event party with Lon Michels 8:30-9:30pm includes champagne and dessert ($25 extra/person).

Come enjoy an evening out for a good cause. All are welcome!

Aldo Leopold Art Discovery Day

Every fall, we end our visitation season with our annual Leopold Center Art Discovery Day event at the Leopold Center. Art Day is fun for the whole family! It features presentations, demonstrations, and time for individual interaction with each artist. Each year we select a group of inspiring regional artists and artisans that find inspiration in the land ethic and the natural world for their work. This is a great event to discover new art and maybe even start your holiday shopping a little early. Join us! If you are an artist or artisan who would like to submit an application for consideration to be a part of Art Discovery Day, please contact Anna Hawley at anna@aldoleopold.org or 608-355-0279.
