It’s been over thirty years since the New York City-based Guerilla Girls first dressed up in ape suits to tweak and protest the male-dominated art world. But despite the passage of time, the art patriarchy lives on, and new feminist artists continue to band together to fight it. One such collective, partially based in Madison, Wisconsin is the Spooky Boobs Collective, which opens a show at the Overture Art Gallery this week.
Collective members Maggie Snyder and Myszka Lewis spoke with 8 O’Clock Buzz host Brian Standing about their work.
