Forward Theater Company

Tuesday, 22 October 2013 | A Public Affair

We’re now in the second week of our Fall Pledge Drive on WORT! The pledge drive will run until 10-26 so it isn’t too late to pledge! We are listener-sponsored community radio station and we depend on your donations for about 66% of our overall budget. Without you, WORT would not be able to produce so many of your favorite shows. SO TURN ON, TUNE IN, AND DROP DOUGH! If you donate $50 or more during the A Public Affair hour (12pm-1pm) you can receive a free copy of the book discussed on air – and we have some great books coming up the next couple days. You can call us at (608) 256-2001 or toll free at (866) 899-WORT (9678), or pledge securely online here. Thank you so for listening and all of your support!

Madison is definitely a theater community and on Tuesday October 22nd our host Carousel Bayrd discussed the one of Forward Theater Company‘s plays this season, “Sons of the Prophet”, with two of the company’s founding members, Celia Klehr and Jim Buske.

“Directed by Jennifer Uphoff Gray, “Sons of the Prophet” is a, “Finalist for the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, hailed as one of the “Top 10 Plays of 2011” by The New York Times, New York Magazine, and Newsday.”-Forward Theater Company
