Tonight, Absolutely Art and Café Zoma host a reception for this month’s artists Jackie Harrison-Jewell and Jeremy Amble. Meet the artists, view their work and enjoy catering by Bunky’s Cafe and live music by New York-based singer-songwriter Emily Forst. This is tonight from 5 to 9pm at 2322 Atwood Avenue. Tomorrow is Mad City Vegan Fest! – the annual celebration of veganism, filled with great food, inspiring speakers, awesome raffle prizes, and a host of vegan-minded exhibitors. The event is free and open to the public. VeganFest is tomorrow from 10am to 5pm at Goodman Community Center, 149 Waubesa Street. More info at veganfest.org.

Tomorrow is the Caddie Woodlawn Community Barn Dance fundraiser, with live music and calling by Rattletrap String Band. All dances are taught, all ages welcome – no experience required! If you can walk, you can dance! There is a suggested donation with proceeds benefitting First Wing Family Theatre’s June production of “Caddie Woodlawn”.
