(WORT) — A potential huge new dairy farm in Green County has residents upset – and they are getting organized. Last night, three hundred neighbors gathered in the small community of Monroe, Wisconsin, about 40 miles south of Madison, to discuss action. They met in Turner Hall, a historic building downtown designed to look like a Swiss chalet. Neighbors met each other over cheese and beer, and discussed the future of their community – and whether that includes another Confined Animal Feeding Operation, or CAFO.
