First Friday Flicks features the film “Eddie the Eagle” tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Pinney Library, 204 Cottage Grove Road. Rated PG-13, it’s the story of Eddie Edwards, the notoriously tenacious British underdog ski jumper who charmed the world at the 1988 Winter Olympics. Discover the scenic paths and hidden natural areas of the Cherokee Marsh, 6098 North Sherman Avenue, on a free, family-friendly bird and nature walk from 1:30 t0 3 p.m., Sunday, July 3rd. Trained naturalists and volunteer walk leaders share their enthusiasm for the marsh environment. Walks are informal and no registration required.
