This is the Insurgent Radio Kiosk for Friday, March 24th
It’s This Weekend’s Action Calendar!
Register today to help cleanup Madison’s dog parks from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 25th! Weather and park conditions will determine which dog parks are included. Volunteers will assist with spreading mulch, picking up litter, trimming around fences and scooping up “you- know-what”. Trash bags, gloves and buckets will be provided. Email parksvolunteer@cityofmadison.com for details.
Get your kids involved in the arts at the free “Kids in the Rotunda” artistic program on Saturday, March 25th in the Overture Center, 201 State Street. Enjoy David Landau’s silly kids singalongs with performances at 9:30 and 11 a.m. and at 1 p.m. After the performances, loosen up with free 30-minute family yoga sessions. Phone 608-258-4148 for information.
Help celebrate World Water Day with a family-friendly walk at the beautiful UW Madison Lakeshore Nature Preserve, 2002 University Bay Drive. Look for spring birds and other signs of spring emerging in woodland flowers and fresh buds on trees. Participants will also learn about accommodation ethics and human choices that can help preserve the lakes, birds and wildlife that we all enjoy. Meet at the Picnic Point parking lot on University Bay Drive. Call 608-698-0104 for information.
