Madison and Dane County Budgets

Thursday, 31 October 2013 | A Public Affair

Have you ever wondered exactly where all your money on your local tax bill goes? Sure, we all appreciate having streets without potholes and reliable snowplows in the winter, but where else do our local governments spend our money?

In the City of Madison and Dane County, October brings more than pumpkins and fall leaves. It means budget time, when local governments present their annual spending requests for approval by our elected representatives.

On Tuesday October 29th, host Carousel Bayrd talked with Chris Schmidt, President of the Madison City Council, and John Hendrick, Chair of the Dane County Board, about the upcoming budget process of the city of Madison and Dane County.
