Cheri Maples, co-founder of Mindfulness and Justice, worked for the criminal justice system, as an Assistant Attorney General in the Wisconsin Department of Justice for the last twenty years. She came by the studio to talk with Tony about the recent tragic police shooting of Paul Heenan. Many of Paul Heenan’s friends and neighbors were distraught by his death, which they considered unnecessary and thoughtless. They have raised questions about the police department’s conduct. There is a mistrust of the police department right now, said Maples, rightly so, she added. She is hopeful that the police department can regain the publics trust.

Cheri is giving a talk next Monday, February 4th, from 7PM to 9PM, at the Bethany Evangelical Free Church.
