The City of Madison has a drop off program for the recycling of household batteries. Madison residents can recycling their single use household batteries by bringing them to a variety of locations. For more info, visit or call the City Recycling office at 267-2626.

Clean Sweep Hazardous Waste Site is open year-round at the county landfill and operates Tuesdays through Fridays from 7am to 2:45pm, and Saturdays from 8 to 10:45am. Clean Sweep is closed Sundays, Mondays and Holidays. There is a fee per drop-off. Clean Sweep is located at 7102 US Highway 12 in Madison. More info at

You can make an impact on the life of a senior adult by assisting them to remain independent and living in their own home. Volunteers are matched with a senior and help with light housekeeping or other tasks once a week or bi-weekly.
