Requires basic word processing skills and writing ability. Skills in social media, interviewing and using WordPress are pluses. Can work from home or anywhere online. You’ll get feedback on your writing, published clips for your resume and the freedom to choose topics that interest and engage you.
Digital download wizards – We’ll train you to download music for WORT’s digital library onto our computers, re-naming and saving it in the proper format. Requires basic computer skills and attention to detail. Interest in and knowledge of different genres of music and digital cataloging systems a plus.
Tech trainers – Learn technical skills and teach them to other volunteers, one-on-one or in large or small groups. Requires an aptitude for fairly basic technical/computer operations, patience and clarity when teaching volunteers. A flexible schedule and the willingness to document training on paper and/or video are pluses. Examples include: using digital promos, playing music from digital files, using WordPress, editing sound files, putting phone calls on the air, etc.
