Allen Ruff’s guest for August 18th, is US historian Nell Painter, on to discuss historical perspectives on why Donald Trump’s campaign is so dangerous.
Nell Painter is the Edwards Professor of American History, Emerita, at Princeton University, and the author of “The History of White People” (2011), a book on the “Exodusters,” and the overview, “Standing at Armageddon: The United States, 1877-1919,” among others. Previously she served as the former president of the Organization of American Historians. She is a board member of the Society of American Historians, the American Historical Association, the Association for the Study of Afro-American Life and History, and the Association of Black Women Historians.
