Wendy Davis Late into the night last Tuesday, one female Senator took a stand against a controversial bill before the Texas state legislature. She literally stood up on the floor of the Texas Senate and spoke against and anti-abortion bill for nearly 13 hours. Her name is Wendy Davis and she succeeded in stopping the bill from passing.
