Racial Justice in Madison

Tuesday, 20 May 2014 | A Public Affair

Is Madison continuing to fail its African American residents? Check out our continuation of Racism in Madison on this edition of APA!

On Monday May 19th, our host John Quinlan was joined by¬†Rev. Alex Gee to continue Madison’s dialogue on racial justice following Alex’s thought-provoking op-ed in December that responded to a white audience member’s relief at a summer Rotary meeting that he was not just another “angry black man.” Quinlan was also joined by community activists Hedi Rudd and Barbara Wright about forgotten, but significant past efforts that were allowed to blow away in the political winds and how we can do better moving forward.
