Long time Madison favorite Robbie Fulks headlined the WORT 41st Birthday on December 2nd. One of Robbie’s favorite show stoppers is to improvise a song, either via suggestions from the audience or just from stream of consciousness. And at the Birthday Party, Robbie–along with Larry Kohut on bass and Don Stiernberg on mandolin–made up a song about everyone’s favorite radio station WORT! Our very own Reverend Velveteen got her phone out and captured the magic of the moment along with some pictures of the event. Turn it up to hear Robbie’s hilarious pronouncements about our station and listeners!
Many heartfelt thanks to all the sponsors, attendees, volunteers and musicians who made our 41st Birthday Party a smashing success and a very merry time.
