Buried deep in Governor Walker’s thousand-page 2015 Executive Budget lurk provisions that would profoundly alter how Wisconsin delivers services to the elderly and disabled. Senior Care, and the Include, Respect, I Self-direct, or IRIS, medicaid and medicare programs would be restructured or eliminated, and the budget also calls for privatization of the county-run Aging and Disability Resource Centers, or ADRCs, across the state.
