UW Madison astronomy graduate student Anna Williams interviews fellow graduate student Jenna Ryon about her dissertation research on star clusters in nearby galaxies. Star clusters are massive groupings of stars that are bound together by gravity. Jenna explains how we observe these objects in nearby galaxies and how these observations help us learn about star formation and galaxy evolution.
