Elle Janet Plato, social outreach coordinator for Sunday Assembly, Madison, meets with other coordinators of the Assembly on the Access Hour to bring to the air news of a secular congregation that celebrates life without spirituality or religion. The Assembly exists to create the sense of community that churches create without the need for worship of a higher power. The program is a mix of talk, music, phone calls, and locally-created music by Assembly members.
The Sunday Assembly meets on the fourth Sunday of each month at 3 pm in a rented space within the James Reeb Unitarian Church on Johnson Street behind East High School.
