Before the age of the internet, musicians and artists had to fight tooth and nail to get their work noticed. This ethos manifested itself in the punk and DIY movements, anticipating the eventual rise (and perhaps fall) of indie rock.

She is a former television news anchor and reporter but now a full time writer with 26 books written. She self-published her first book but now is with Simon and Schuster.
