Matt Joyce, also known as Em Jay, has fronted the Milwaukee band the Midwest Beat since 2005. Lately, he’s been hosting the Super Serious Songwriter Series every 2nd and 4th Tuesday night at Mickey’s Bar, right here in Madison. This week, Matt shares the stage with Tarpaulin’s Alejandra Perez, who performs a rare acoustic set. Lucky us, both Em Jay and Alejandra, guitars in tow, agreed to grace the WORT airwaves with a preview of tomorrow night’s show.

(WORT) — This past Wednesday, at a surprisingly entertaining Madison Parks Commission meeting, city officials revised the limit up to 95 decibels (as measured at the sound board) and streamlined some other aspects of the proposal. Tone Madison Editor Scott Gordon brings you this report.
