Protests have plagued Thailand for what seems like years, but we haven’t seen a lot of coverage by mainstream media in the United States. So why aren’t we hearing more about it? Find out on this edition of A Public Affair to learn more!

On Friday February 7th, our host Esty Dinur was joined by UW-Madison professor and award winning author,¬†Thongchai Winichakul to discuss what’s going on in Thailand and how the protests could affect the country.

Winicakul explained a little bit of the history of the conflict in Thailand such as who’s protesting and what are they protesting about. In addition, Winicakul and Dinur conversed about¬†Thailand’s recent elections and how the outcome could impact the country.
