Tod Ohnstad, a freshmen state representative in the 65th assembly district representing the Kenosha area, came by the studio on February 7, 2013. Among his many duties he has been placed on the mining committee. Tony and Tod speak about the recent legislation that has been put on the fast track allowing an open pit iron mining operation to be created in northern Wisconsin. The bill is controversial because it lets companies bypass environmental laws that protect fragile ecosystems in the state.
