WORT is currently hiring a Work Study intern to assist the News, Talk, and Public Affairs department.
The position is to support the 8 O’Clock Buzz, our morning magazine program, and is 10 hours/week: mornings, Monday-Friday.
You’ll help support the new WORT website by updating it daily with fresh, interesting content. You’ll communicate with program hosts to gather materials about upcoming and recently aired interviews, edit and post audio archives, compose blog posts, and promote the program via social media.
This is a good opportunity for students in Mass Communication, Journalism, Life Science Communications, or related social science fields. Hone your writing chops and broaden your exposure to interesting ideas and people in Madison.
This position is offered as a Work-study. You need to have Work Study available to you in your financial aid package. More info about student financial aid here.
Otherwise, this position is offered as unpaid internship. You must be computer savvy (experience with WordPress, audio editing software, and social media platforms are a big plus). You also must have assertive, clear communication skills.
If you are interested, please send your resume and a one-page cover letter detailing your interest to Molly Stentz: email@example.com.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled. WORT is an equal opportunity employer.
