Think biological field work, and most people think of exotic Amazonian rainforests or the Serengeti plains of Africa. Few think of the plethora of things living in our own backyard, in our homes, even in our armpits and bellybuttons. Rob Dunn works as a biologist and writer in the Department of Biology at North Carolina State University. He also founded yourwildlife.org, an online “citizen scientist” resource to the biota literally right under our noses.
