This Saturday, May 2nd, WORT DJs are helping to kick off the season for an exciting new outdoor series–the MadCity Bazaar–Madison’s Urban Pop-Up Flea Market. Held in the parking lot of the Washington Plaza in the 1800 block of East Washington Avenue at First Street, the MadCity Bazaar features locally crafted foods, arts, crafts, clothing, collectibles, vintage up-cycled furniture and more!
WORT’s “Real Jaguar”, host of Friday afternoon’s “Who Cooks for You?” will spin discs from 10am-Noon. From Noon-4pm, WORT DJs will host their regular shows from the MadCity Bazaar via a live-remote broadcast, featuring “Tropical Riddims” (reggae) with host FRP and “PanAfrica” with host Sister Linda. WORT staff and volunteers will be on hand to sell tickets for WORT’s Block Party raffle drawing on May 17th. Stop by to check out this exciting new event, meet WORT DJs, staff and volunteers and to move your body to the same great music you hear every Saturday afternoon!
