Saturday was the first day of this year’s sixth annual Fermentation Fest in the cultureshed of Sauk County. Fermentation Fest, the brainchild of the Wormfarm Institute, is A Live Culture Convergence. Meaning Fermentation Fest celebrates live culture in all its forms, from dance to yogurt, from poetry to sauerkraut. To discuss all things fermentation-related, Patty Peltekos talks with guests Sandor Katz and Peter Reinhart.
Sandor “SandorKraut” Katz just released an updated, revised edition of “Wild Fermentation: The Flavor, Nutrition, and Craft of Live-Culture Foods.”
Peter Reinhart is an award-winning writer and author of eleven books about baking, food, and culture. Four of those eleven have won the James Beard Award.
