The fun, cozy, bar room is the perfect place for our Social Club ‘Open Mic’ gathering . Have a bite to eat (optional, of course) and visit with fellow WORTees.
The Lakeside Street Coffee House. is near the #16 & #13 bus routes (which run 3 blocks to the North, on Olin Ave.) . Bike racks are available, too. Otherwise, there is plenty of street parking nearby.
Lakeside Street Coffee House offers a limited, yet very yummy, variety of menu items such as sandwiches, salads, “Quiche of the Day”, bakery items and snacks, etc. Breakfast items are also served all day. There is a nice selection non-alcohol beverages as well as a variety of bottled beers and 2 seasonal tap beers, many wines.
NOTE: The “Acoustic” Open Mic simply means NOT loud. We strive to maintain a peaceful coexistence with the good neighbors, residing very close by. Signups (to perform) begin at 6:00pm. The performances will begin at 6:30pm. Open to all. Please, let us know if you need an accommodation or special setup in order to participate. PA system is provided.
The 89.9 Social Club strives to create opportunities for WORT volunteers to visit with and bond with folks that share a common experience. The Club gatherings also create an opportunity for curious members of the community to meet WORT volunteers and get a better sense of what WORT is all about.
