Join WORT Volunteers and Staff at the Mason Lounge (416 S. Park St.) on Wednesday, March 20 for a Pizza Party at 6:30 pm, followed by The Old Tin Can String Band at 8:30.
Falbo Bros. Pizzeria, right next door on South Park, is generously donating their fantastic pizza–enough to feed all attendees. If you’ve never tried Falbo Bros. Pizza, you are in for a real treat.
“Our focus has always been on using high quality ingredients and combining them with our traditional pizza technique. We only use stone deck ovens powered by flames, not conveyor belts, and our sauce and pizza dough are made from scratch. Our pizzas are handmade, recipes are passed down, and ingredients prepared by hand, not a machine. We put the extra time and effort into crafting our delicious pizza, and we think you will notice the difference.” http://falbobrospizza.com/
Please feel free to carry-in some food from home or a restaurant (if pizza is not your thing).
So, head on down to the Mason Lounge on March 20th, enjoy some fantastic pizza, commiserate with fellow WORT volunteers, friends and anyone else that is curious or hungry enough to show up. You never know who’ll be there–you might even meet your favorite show host.
And, there’s Happy Hour until 7 O’Clock, so don’t be late!
At 8:30 (after the Pizza Party), you can turn your ears and eyes to The Old Tin Can String Band. They sure can play! They’ll make you want to come back, again.
The 89.9 Social Club strives to create opportunities for WORT volunteers to visit with and bond with folks that share a common experience. The Club gatherings also create an opportunity for curious members of the community to meet WORT volunteers and get a better sense of what WORT is all about.
