Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway joins us on A Public Affair to discuss her first term as Mayor and what she hopes to accomplish if reelected. She talks about housing access, transit issues, and equity, among other topics.
Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway was first elected in April 2019 as Madison’s 58th Mayor, the city’s second female mayor and the first out LGBTQ person to hold the office. Previously, she served as alder for Madison’s 12th District for six years. She was also the Managing Director of the Mayors Innovation Project for 13 years. She is a member of United Faculty and Academic Staff, AFT Local 223, and a former Board Member of the Democratic Party of Dane County
