On the last day of Amy Coney Barrett’s Senate hearings, today we check in with investigative journalist Lisa Graves to examine some of the behind-the-scenes players and “dark money” behind Judge Barrett’s nomination and discuss the backstory surrounding the conservative packing of the Supreme Court.
Over the course of the hour, she and Allen discuss general impressions about this week’s hearings, Judge Barrett’s previous rulings and what she’ll bring to the Supreme Court, right-wing money and the Bradley Foundation, and what can be done to unpack the Court and impose term limits.
Lisa Graves is the president of True North Research, co-director of DocumentedInvestigations.org, and former chief counsel for nominations on the Senate Judiciary Committee. She served as executive director of the Center for Media and Democracy from 2009–2017, where she continues as a senior research fellow.
