Sunday, January 8th thousands of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro supporters invaded the Supreme Court, presidential palace and Congress. Some of these protestors had been camped out in Brasilia since Bolsonaro and others traveled from across the country. To help us understand what happened, we welcome CEPR‘s Alexander Main back to the program.
Alexander Main is the Director of International Policy at the Center for Economic and Policy Research in Washington, DC. His areas of expertise include Latin American integration and regionalism, US security and counternarcotics policy in Central America, US development assistance to Haiti, and US relations with Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Honduras and Venezuela.
