(WORT) — Darien Lamen talks with Dr. Angela Rose Black, a research fellow at UW-Madison in Complementary and Integrative Health. Over the last fifteen years, Dr. Black has studied the connections between gender and racial oppression, community health, as well as individual strategies for stress management.
She came to Madison to focus on “mindfulness based interventions” that engage black women, and she joins WORT to talk about her work and the demands of some students at UW-Madison for more culturally competent mental health professionals.
