Coming to the patch of larch trees at UW Arboretum’s Longenecker Horticultural Garden is an interactive sculptural installation from artist Anna Heinen. The exhibit, entitled “Pink-Stone, Lake-Moon,” runs 10am to 8pm on Saturday, April 16 and will coincide with April’s full pink moon.
Expect large ceramic vessels, a handmade paper tent, and music from Madison based Celtic fiddle band As the Fly Crows from 4-5pm. And by the way, you can touch the art!
Heinen, a ceramics student at UW-Madison, joined News Director Chali Pittman on the Friday 8 O’Clock Buzz to talk about the upcoming event/exhibition, and to talk about their artistic philosophy of creating intimacy between humans and nature.
