David Armiak is a research director with the Center for Media and Democracy. He has extensively researched dark money, corporate corruption and right-wing networks. David is an expert at filing public records requests.
Dan Shafer is an independent journalist in Milwaukee. He writes and publishes a weekly opinion column called “The Recombobulation Area.” He has worked for numerous outlets including Seattle magazine, Seattle Business magazine, Milwaukee Business Journal and Milwaukee Magazine. He has also written for The Daily Beast, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Shepherd Express, WisBusiness and Milwaukee Record.
