November 13 through November 19 is International Education Week, sponsored by the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Department of Education. The University of Wisconsin’s celebration of International Education Week includes a variety of lectures and networking opportunities at various locations around its Madison campus. The keynote speech, taking place tonight at 5:30 at the Gordon Dining and Event Center, features El Salvadoran native Ariela Suster. Suster created Sequence collection, training at-risk Salvadoran youth to become trained jewelry artisans. Ariela Suster joins Eight O’Clock Buzz host Brian Standing in the studio.
