(WORT) — Assembly Republicans passed major changes to Wisconsin’s campaign finance laws Wednesday night. The legislation will make the state the first in the nation to allow issue-advocacy groups to legally coordinate with political campaigns. The bill also allows corporations to give unlimited donations to political parties and legislative committees.
Democratic lawmakers were uniformly against the overhaul of Wisconsin’s campaign finance laws, but zero “no” votes were cast against the legislation. Dylan Brogan tells us why.
