The Community Immigration Law Center works to ensure dignity and access to justice for people, especially those facing deportation, by providing legal representation and consultations. It also works to support and educate the community at large about immigration issues.
World View host Gil Halsted recently spoke with Aissa Olivarez, managing attorney of the Community Immigration Law Center.
They talk about the services of the CILC, the people it serves, and how walk-in counseling has moved to phone counseling. Gil and Aissa also discussed the initiative to build a bond fund to support those eligible to post bond and rejoin their families and communities while working out their immigration status.
