Tonight, we broadcast an old show that originally aired on July 15, 1999. In that show, one time PNM’er Susan Nossal reports from a conference held at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado. She talked with two scientists about their research concerning the middle and upper atmosphere. Also, Tricia Casper, another past PNM’er, talked with Ben Polis from the Union of Concerned Scientists about their Sound Science Initiative. He and many scientists spent time earlier in the summer contacting as many legislators in Congress as possible to inform them about the threat of climate change and the need for policy responses.
