
Bill Malone conducted an interview with Hank Sapoznik of the Mayrent Institute of Yiddish Culture at 10 am about the upcoming symposium on World Records/Vernaculars of the Global Midwest.
At 11 am, he spoke with Madison’s Cris Plata, who’s having a CD release party on March 21st at High Noon Saloon. Cris’ new CD Migration Road is available at the show and online at http://www.crisplata.com/. Cris also has a biography that has been released by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press; The Badger Biography Series. The biography is titled: “Cris Plata: From Fields to Stage/Del Campo al Escenario” and is written by Maia A. Surdam.
Bill’s scheduled telephone interview with Jim Ed Brown has been postponed, and will be aired at a later date. . Prior to his solo country and western career, Jim was a member of the Browns back in the late fifties, who had such hits as “The Three Bells,” “Scarlet Ribbons,” and more.
