Bela Fleck’s My Bluegrass Heart, Old Crow Medicine Show, Pert Near Sandstone Headline
This morning the Blue Ox Music Festival unveiled a star-studded lineup of musicians returning to the beautiful Pines Music Park in Eau Claire, WI.
2022’s edition of Blue Ox will feature the Wisconsin debut of Bela Fleck’s My Bluegrass Heart. Representing the latest development in Bela Fleck’s ongoing dialogue with bluegrass, My Bluegrass Heart has involved the best instrumentalists playing bluegrass today. At the festival, Fleck will be joined by Michael Cleveland, Sierra Hull, Justin Moses, Mark Schatz, and Bryan Sutton. Attendees can expect plenty of special guest appearances by other artists performing at the 2022 Blue Ox Music Festival.
Additional headlining acts include a who’s-who of Americana and bluegrass music. Performers include returning hosts Pert Near Sandstone, Old Crow Medicine Show, Railroad Earth, Sam Bush Band, Punch Brothers, Del McCoury Band, Paul Cauthen, Samantha Fish, Joseph, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, and Fruition will all have showcase spots at the festival.
Rounding out the lineup are Eau Claire locals Them Coulee Boys, Madison-based Armchair Boogie, Daniel Donato, Milwaukee’s Chicken Wire Empire and many more. Additional acts will be announced in the coming months.
Blue Ox has become known for its intimate, family-friendly and welcoming atmosphere for artists and fans alike. A full range of cultural activities, including yoga and meditation, a kids’ stage with programming for little ones, and a diverse range of food and crafts vendors round out the festival experience.
