This is WORT’s 39th year in existence. Radio, or Hertzian wave-based wireless telegraph, as it was known at the time, has been around for 120 years. Radio is so familiar to us, it’s hard to imagine how profoundly this new technology changed social interactions. The UW’ student-run theater company, InterMission theater, thinks they know how to tell that story. Their new musical “Broadcast” opens this Thursday at the Bartell Theater, and runs through Saturday, March 8th. Director, Amanda Connors, and actors Nick Connors, Quinn Elmer and Jeremy Mendoza joined Monday Buzz host Brian Standing in the studio.
